It’s only fitting that we put up a thank you and shout out to the extraordinary people who helped us with our one year anniversary of LICK last night, on a site of good peoples. That’s exactly who it was that made it all happen, a group of good peoples, amazing peoples, more importantly amazing women. Thank you Meghan. Thank you Katie. Thank you Tasha.

The night was incredible and one of our favorite events at TASTE of all time. Thank you Zoe. To bring together such people under the same roof is a task in this business that usually takes a corporate sponsor, an open bar, a caterer and some kind of car company. We did it ourselves and we did it together with you. Thank you Texas. Thank you Karla. Thank you Melanie. Thank you Meghan. Thank you to all the dancers I who I regretfully forget your names all the time. Thank you Jasmine. Thank you MeanRed.

I stood up in the sound booth with the amazing staff of Le Poisson Rouge, who were so instrumental in making the night run smoothly. I loved the flexibility of the room, the fact you can see the show from everywhere. The sound and the way it’s designed. We couldn’t have been happier with working in that venue and will most definitely be back for more. Thank you Justine D. Thank you Joilynn. Thank you Tiombe.

My personal favorite part of the night was watching LaMae and the two other dancers pulling off a piece to a Cubic Zirconia track. The strobes were hitting while these girls are killing it on stage in drop dead black strappy sexy something outfits, and I’m just thinking to myself, we know the dopest girls EVER. Thank you Jeylan. Thank you to the venue girls who were working at the door.

I’ll leave it at that. Just THANK YOU! You ladies fucking rock and I love you all to death. I’m so happy to call you friends and colleagues. It means the world to me.

And to my fellas, this ain’t about you, but I couldn’t have done it without you.

Sometimes before or after an outdoor music festival/show I’ll stop by Jeff Meltz’s place and watch some HGTV. The last time I went over, Jeff offered me some of Trader Joe’s “Cat Cookies For People”.

I can’t really get over how ridiculous of a name that is for a cookie, so Jeff and I are planning on creating a new line of cookies called “People Cookies For Cats”.
Clearly the chaos of outdoor concerts has made us go a bit insane, but let us know if you want in.

Who knew that Israelis and Speedos could cause such chaos? The Israeli band Monotonix has been banned from most show venues in Tel Aviv, and for good reason. Their shows almost never take place on an actual stage, even when one is provided. Instead the three band members often play whilst crowd surfing, drum set and all. Think of the Team Robespierre and Ninjasonik antics, but more extreme. Never, ever pass up the opportunity to see Monotonix. You’ll crawl away in awe.
