Zombie Monday: NYAFF
posted by RyanWarnbergSorry for the late post. I forgot to post on Friday because I was planning out my schedule for the New York Asian Film Festival. For anyone in town right now, there are tons of great asian splatter/gore/freakout/horror/kung fu/action/porn/awesome movies to be had in NYC at this very second. These are the type of movies that will play here once, and then 2 years from now they will win some award and you will wish you’d checked em out when you had the chance. Like Vampire Girl Vs. Frankenstein Girl, showing tonight (NSFW…or anywhere else).
Trailer for the fest and link to the schedule is below.

Friday night I was able to check out Yoroi Samurai Zombie, from Tak Sakaguchi: stuntman and director of the classic flick Versus. It was decent, notable mainly for the ridiculously awesome looking zombies and geysers of blood, but not for the plot/story…which was ludicrous. I wouldn’t recommend it as a good place to start at the festival…but then again there are no good places to start so just dive in.
Thanks for putting up with this,
