I wanted to shout out my favorite gay boys in the world including my bestie of 20 years, Brendan:
Vat
and Ben
who participated in a remake video of Lady Gaga’s Monster!
Last summer, David Fudge got together a group of guys from the Fire Island Pines and made a remake video of Miley Sirus’ “Party In The USA” that got nearly 3 million hits!
This remake of monster with a similar theme was shot in NY and debuted today on the fabulis blog.
Monday, femcee miss Jasmine Solano debuts the video for her track “Thats Not It” shot by Tone and directed by Va$shtie! Not only is she truly the sweetest most grounded girl in the game, but she also can rap most guys under the table. Come check the video - a true collaboration of the fam and stay for the after -party! She’ll be DJing!
Monday, February 15th - That’s Not It Video Screening!
CV - 105 Rivington (btwn ludlow & essex)

Congrats to Cubic Zirconia on their newest release - Josephine! The release party (and after party) were bananas and Good Peoples was so happy to be a part of it!
The band just released a new video to go along with the song and remixes! Check it out below and and buy the music here!
If you aren’t familiar - these guys are the masterminds behind Miss Rap Supreme, The White Rapper Show, one of my favorite books of all time (Rap Lists) and just all around are some of the few people that I think embody the truth and history in this hot mess we live every day call “downtown” and where it came from. Everyone could learn a little lesson about what hip hop is about from them… and I’m excited about their next project!
Ego Trip has partnered with Maysles Films to bring you a series of evenings screening their favorite hip hop films. $10 @ 343 Lenox Ave and it starts tonight with “80 Blocks From Tiffany’s” and “Shotgun”. More nights coming up on Feb 25th and March 28th! Peep the flyer below and get detailed info and tickets here
A little over two years ago I was looking for an engineer to record some stuff for my Siren mixtape. I found so much more then I bargained for in Kevin Ross aka DJ Teenwolf. He turned out to not only be a great engineer and wonderful dude but an incredibly talented producer. He also introduced me to the movement which is Ninjasonik. Over the past two years I have watched this band grow. I’ve been blessed enough to often have a stage side view. I have seen them make fans of their harshest critics and friends of their arch enemies. They are a genius band of misfits. This is a Ninjasonik mega post. Because I found it hard to write this post in the past, I so many times slept on posting some of the many MANY dope things they have put out.
First, their new video for their remix of the Matt and Kim song “Daylight”
Kayne West put the video for their remix of the “Hold The Line” on his blog
Which came out right around the same time I believe as the truly Epic Darth Baño mixtape.
Check out “I Love Your Style” on the mix where I did the hook. Also the guys covered the Curses! track I did with him called “The Deep End”. If I continued to post more music and video it would take over the whole blog. Suffice to say these guys are on the top of the game and making their own rules. I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with these guys and to have been able to share a stage with them. Their grind is unfuckwithable and their talent undeniable. They roll with a movement of a wild cast of characters who are sure to make you take notice soon. I can’t wait to see what they accomplish in the years to come. I’m so proud of these guys and proud to call them family.
Whatup Good Peoples? Been awhile. Not that you missed me/cared about the gibberish I usually write here. I’m really only here to increase linkdensity to blow up the Good Peoples googlerating. SEO on SMASH!!!! Or whatever…
So in keeping with my poorly conceived zombie theme, I’ve been trying to dig up a copy of this amazing looking british series, Dead Set. The premise is irresistible, the cast of Big Brother is about to get “evicted” on the final night of the series, when all of the sudden, BAM! Zombies. And not slow zombies, either. Fast-28-days-style-fuck-you-up zombies. What do you do when they show up? You die. That’s it. Then you become one of them. Check out the trailer here. Now I just need to find a copy in America.
Also, new mixtapes I came across.
One DOOM mixtape, because you can never have enough DOOM. Nothing new, but still awesome.
Olly Moss is a sweet designer out of the UK. I favor his more zombie-centric work, but he’s got some great stuff all around. Check out his stuff here: Olly Moss on Threadless
The small text reads:
A food chain is a way of depicting the flow of energy from one organism to the next and to the next and so on. The specific diagram presented here shows the biomass transfer from the lowest tier of the chain (flora) to the highest (evil reanimated corpses from beyond the grave).
There was once a time when Man stood proudly at the top of the food chain. That time has passed. Now, fueled by a black and terrible desire for brains, Zombiekind has consolidated its power and cemented its supremacy.
Surely, this is a bleak time for humanity. Our days are numbered. Fortunately, they are also charted and graphically presented for ease of reference.
POSTSCRIPT because I just came across this:
LEGION. Movies about people trapped in shitty desert restaurants/bars while fighting for their lives against badass demons/monsters/old ladies/demon monster old ladies are the GREATEST. Tremors, Demon Knight, Feast, From Dusk Till Dawn, LEGION…that’s the lineup of the DESERT SURVIVAL AGAINST MONSTERS FILM FEST I am planning that will never ever happen.
