WAD KLUB IN NYC
posted by Queen BeeAfter some recent traveling to Rome, I have the travel bug big time. Since French is the one language I know the best, I’ve been harassing all my French friends and acquaintances to help me practice with the eventual intention of traveling to Paris and checking out the incredible music and party scene there (shouts to French Lopez Records working with Maggie Horn!!)
I guess it rubbed off because I’ve had one of the best French Mags with the best international parties fall into my lap right here in NYC!! Guess the universe heard my request….let’s show NYC how the French do it.
WAD KLUB hits NYC this THURSDAY @ Santos Party House!!! RSVP for reduced admission. SEE YOU THERE
Zombie Friday: Olly Moss+Legion
posted by RyanWarnbergOlly Moss is a sweet designer out of the UK. I favor his more zombie-centric work, but he’s got some great stuff all around. Check out his stuff here: Olly Moss on Threadless
The small text reads:
A food chain is a way of depicting the flow of energy from one organism to the next and to the next and so on. The specific diagram presented here shows the biomass transfer from the lowest tier of the chain (flora) to the highest (evil reanimated corpses from beyond the grave).
There was once a time when Man stood proudly at the top of the food chain. That time has passed. Now, fueled by a black and terrible desire for brains, Zombiekind has consolidated its power and cemented its supremacy.
Surely, this is a bleak time for humanity. Our days are numbered. Fortunately, they are also charted and graphically presented for ease of reference.
POSTSCRIPT because I just came across this:
LEGION. Movies about people trapped in shitty desert restaurants/bars while fighting for their lives against badass demons/monsters/old ladies/demon monster old ladies are the GREATEST. Tremors, Demon Knight, Feast, From Dusk Till Dawn, LEGION…that’s the lineup of the DESERT SURVIVAL AGAINST MONSTERS FILM FEST I am planning that will never ever happen.

Social Sun - Claw Money x Sunglass Hut
posted by Queen BeeOn Tuesday I attended the launch of Social Sun — a new project by Sunglass Hut. It was a family affair — Notorious female graffiti writer turned fashion designer Claw designed 200 limited edition sunglasses specifically for the launch, Dust La Rock designed the invitation, Nick Catchdubs DJed the party (along with a special performance by Sean Paul), and Roxy Cottontail invited the crowd….

Social Sun is a new in-store concept that allows shoppers to photograph themselves trying on sunglasses while at the store and then share the photos via email, facebook, myspace and twitter, or post their photo on the new flat screens throughout the store for other shoppers to view.
The party was live and we all had our moment in front of the camera showing off our new limited edition Claw sunglasses. I grabbed a set of purple (of course). You will see me rockin’ them all summer!

Hello there Good Peoples!

I’ll try and give you the heads up on some obscure fashion, music, and whatever else is going on in my head these days. I’m going hard with my fashion stylist work and my custom line I design with Mad Marietta called Manslaughter. Hope you enjoy!
Here’s a few of the latest dresses I’ve sewed up for spring as part of our Manslaughter for Mishka collaboration. Taking special orders! You can check out more of my work here!
